GenTent Launches Westinghouse WGenTent XL for Large Portable Generators

GenTent Safety Canopies announced the launch of the Westinghouse WGenTent XL on April 24, 2026. The product is a generator running cover engineered for Westinghouse’s largest open-frame portable generators. It uses an engineered steel mounting system to protect the generators during operation in various weather conditions.

The WGenTent XL is designed specifically for Westinghouse’s WGen20000 and WGen14500 series generators. It allows safe outdoor use in rain, snow, ice, sleet, and wind while maintaining airflow and exhaust clearance for performance. The system focuses on durability and reliability for high-output generator platforms.

GenTent stated that the WGenTent XL extends its weather protection solutions. The cover incorporates performance ratings and mounting technology. It supports operation in severe weather without compromising generator function. Brian Thomas, director of sales and marketing at GenTent, said the design addresses evolving generator technology and customer needs.

The launch is part of GenTent's Covered by GenTent program. This program provides safety canopies for portable generators. The addition of the WGenTent XL covers Westinghouse's largest models, enabling users to operate them outdoors in adverse conditions.
