Contract and timing considerations The candidate currently serves as head of global soccer for Red Bull’s network of clubs. Discussions are expected to require time because of that existing contract. The candidate has not coached a club side since leaving a previous role in 2024, citing a lack of energy at the time.

The same person stated that energy levels have since returned and expressed readiness for a new position.
