New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said running back Cam Skattebo should land a backflip if he attempts one. Harbaugh made the remark on the Bleav in Giants podcast on July 21. Skattebo tried the move at Fanatics Fest in New York City over the weekend but failed to complete it.
Harbaugh stated he had not yet spoken to the player about the incident. Harbaugh added that Skattebo has trained intensely and is healthy. The running back dislocated his ankle midway through the 2025 season.
He played in eight games that year and recorded 410 rushing yards with five touchdowns along with 24 receptions for 207 yards and two receiving scores. Giants rookies report to training camp on Thursday. Veterans arrive July 28.
The team opens the 2026 regular season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13.
