A patient admitted to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow in the early hours of Tuesday has tested negative for Ebola. Precautionary measures were taken after the admission. The negative result means no confirmed Ebola cases exist in Scotland, Public Health Scotland stated.
The agency said the risk to the general public remains low. It continues to work with the UK Health Security Agency on traveler assessment protocols from affected areas. The UKHSA Returning Workers Scheme has been activated for organizations sending staff to Ebola-affected regions.
