Glasgow Scots Present Friendship Cone to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu

Andrew Dobbie and Danny Campbell flew an orange traffic cone decorated with symbols from Glasgow and Boston to the United States and presented it to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu at a ceremony at Boston Logan International Airport on Wednesday, New York Post reported.

The two cities signed a partnership pact during the event that pledges stronger economic, cultural and institutional ties. The cone will be used to fundraise for mental health causes, authorities said.

Dobbie, a Glasgow influencer, said he knew Boston was friendly but did not expect the level of friendliness shown during the visit by Scots for the World Cup. “I knew the city was friendly, but this has been really something else,” he told the New York Post. ” Dobbie added that the best thing was seeing people smiling.

“The best thing is seeing people smiling, and I don’t want the smiling to stop — people meeting, laughing and connecting. It’s amazing, truly not something we expected,” he said. After the ceremony, Dobbie and Campbell visited South Street Diner, where Scotland flags were displayed.

They ate corned beef hash, sausage, bacon and over-easy eggs. ” The friendship cone will tour both countries to raise money for Scottish Action for Mental Health and the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health.
