Google announced the Fitbit Air, a screenless wearable device, ahead of its I/O event. The 12-gram device can be placed in a wristband or chest strap and resembles existing fitness wearables. It is available for pre-order at $100, with a $130 special edition also offered.

The company said the Fitbit Air experience centers on Google Health Coach, which has been in public preview since October. More details on AI features are expected when the device launches on May 26. Each purchase of the Fitbit Air includes three months of Google Health Premium.

After that period, access to the most advanced AI-infused features requires a $10 monthly subscription.

DJI released the Osmo Mobile 8P gimbal, which includes a detachable remote control with its own screen. The remote allows users to operate the gimbal from more than 150 feet away and features a joystick and record button. It incorporates the company's latest tracking technology and connects directly to Apple's DockKit.

The Osmo Mobile 8P is a more advanced version of the Osmo Mobile 8 released late last year. It is now available in Europe starting at £135 for the standard version and £169 for the Advanced Tracking Combo.

The reMarkable Paper Pure is a monochrome writing slate that the company positions as offering the best writing experience in its category. It lacks a backlight in line with the company's focus on a distraction-free device. The product uses the company's existing file-sync workflow.

Separately, Snap and Perplexity ended their agreement to integrate the AI search engine into Snapchat. The companies said they amicably ended the relationship earlier this year. A spokesperson for Perplexity stated that the planned feature was not the right fit for either company.
