Google announced a new feature called platform properties in Google Search Console on July 7, 2026. The tool lets creators track which search terms lead users to their Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube content and shows how audiences interact with those posts on Search.
The Verge reported that the update builds on an earlier change from June 2026, when Google began allowing large creators and publishers to claim dedicated profiles in Search.
Those profiles can include links to other platforms and pinned videos from TikTok and Instagram. Google stated that content creators and publishers use many channels beyond their own websites to reach audiences. The company added that it wants to give site owners and creators, even those without their own website, a consolidated view of how all of their content is discovered on Search.
The platform properties feature is rolling out gradually over the coming weeks starting July 7, 2026.
