Google Unveils AI Search Updates and New Gemini Features at I/O 2026
Google introduced several AI tools at its annual developer conference this week, including an updated search experience and new Gemini capabilities. The company also announced changes to its AI subscription plans and previewed Android XR smart glasses.

Omni, a new generative model, can create videos from combined image, audio, video, and text inputs. It is rolling out to the Gemini app, Google Flow, and YouTube Shorts and incorporates improved understanding of physical forces. S. Premium users will gain access next month to a tool that generates personal podcasts based on listening history and user-provided text or documents.
