GoPro Opens Pre-Orders for MISSION 1 Series Cameras
GoPro began accepting pre-orders for its new MISSION 1 series of compact cinematic cameras on May 22. The cameras feature a 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor and support 8K video recording.

The lineup includes the base MISSION 1, the MISSION 1 PRO, and the MISSION 1 PRO Grip Edition. Later models—the MISSION 1 PRO ILS, MISSION 1 PRO Creator Edition, and MISSION 1 PRO Ultimate Creator Edition—are scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2026.
Each model uses a 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor and GoPro's GP3 processor. The base MISSION 1 records 8K video at 30 frames per second and 4K at 120 frames per second, supports 10-bit GP-Log2 color, and records 32-bit float audio. The MISSION 1 PRO records 8K60 and 4K240 video in 16:9 format and 8K30 and 4K120 in Open Gate 4:3 format, along with 50-megapixel RAW stills.
