Grammy-nominated record producer Tay Keith was found dead in his Nashville apartment on Thursday during a welfare check, police said. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said officers discovered the 29-year-old unresponsive in his Martin Street apartment in the afternoon. No foul play is suspected.
Details of the discovery Police did not disclose what prompted the welfare check.
An autopsy will determine the cause of death, the department said on social media. Keith’s real name is Brytavious Chambers. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree.
