U.S. Air Force Maj. David Grusch told reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday that classified UFO programs receive billions of dollars each year through secret federal accounts shielded from Congress and the public.

Grusch, who gave his first on-the-record interview as a whistleblower to NewsNation in 2023 and later testified before Congress, said the funds support crash-retrieval initiatives involving non-human biologies. He stated the government holds audio, video and images of recovered craft. “This is a real fraud, waste, and abuse issue,” Grusch said.

“President Vance’s task force is sharply focused on the issue of misuse of funds. ” Grusch urged President Donald Trump’s special task force on fraud, led by Vice President JD Vance, to examine the accounts. ” “You cannot have one standard for the American people and another standard for the deep state to hide behind,” he said.

Reps. Eric Burlison (R-MO), Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Tim Burchett (R-TN) attended the briefing and joined the call for greater disclosure. Burlison asked the president to waive nondisclosure agreements and grant immunity to anyone who has come forward or will come forward.

“This is the age of disclosure,” Burlison said. “Hiding behind classification is no longer acceptable. … This is the moment. Use the authority that you have, Mr. ” Speakers said a White House meeting is scheduled in the coming days to discuss permanent immunity for individuals with knowledge of recovered materials.

They also pressed Congress to pass the UAP Disclosure Act to strengthen whistleblower protections.
