Pakistani security forces killed six militants and captured one after foiling an attack on a Sindh Rangers compound in Karachi on Saturday night. Four paramilitary personnel died during the roughly 90-minute gun battle that began around 8:30 p.m. at the compound in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.

Saturday’s incident marked the first major terrorist attack in Karachi since October 2024, when two Chinese engineers were killed in a suicide bombing near the airport.
