Gunnar Henderson hit his 100th career home run on Friday night during the Baltimore Orioles' 7-3 win over the San Diego Padres. The two-out solo shot came in the fourth inning at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Henderson became the fifth player to reach 100 home runs with the Orioles before turning 25.
The other four players are Manny Machado, Eddie Murray, Boog Powell and Cal Ripken Jr. Machado was in the opposing dugout for the San Diego Padres when Henderson connected. Henderson turns 25 on June 29.
421 slugging percentage in 70 games and 292 at-bats. 349 on-base percentage. 364 on-base percentage and was named an All-Star for the first time. Henderson was the 2023 American League Rookie of the Year and a 2023 Silver Slugger winner.
