Haeran Ryu Wins Women's PGA Championship by Two Strokes

Haeran Ryu won the 2026 Women's PGA Championship on Sunday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. She finished at 13-under-par 275, two strokes ahead of Ina Yoon. Ryu shot a final-round 2-under-par 70.

She trailed by 10 shots after an opening-round 73 on Thursday and tied the LPGA Tour record for the largest 18-hole comeback by a major champion, set by Carol Mann in the 1964 Western Open. Ryu played the final three rounds at 14-under par. ESPN reported that Ryu became the sixth South Korean winner of the Women's PGA Championship in the past 12 editions.

The 2023 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year flashed a smile after holing her final putt as friends celebrated. Brooke Henderson and Dewi Weber tied for third at 10-under par. Allisen Corpuz, Auston Kim and Alison Lee tied for fifth at 7-under par.

Nelly Korda finished in a four-way tie for eighth after a final-round 73. A thunderstorm closed the course for most of Sunday morning, dropping more than one inch of rain in the Twin Cities area and delaying all tee times by 3½ hours. The delay left the greens extra soft and the winds especially gusty on Hazeltine's long fairways.
