Harvard Endowment Sells All Ethereum ETF Holdings After One Quarter
The university endowment sold its entire stake in BlackRock's Ethereum ETF. It also reduced its Bitcoin ETF position for a second consecutive quarter.

The university had become the largest new buyer of the same ETF in Q4 of 2025. The endowment also trimmed its Bitcoin ETF holdings again. It reported $117 million in BlackRock's IBIT shares after selling 2.3 million shares since the prior quarter.
The endowment's crypto holdings have declined for three straight quarters. The peak value reached $442 million in Bitcoin ETF holdings during Q3 of 2025. Harvard began purchasing IBIT shares in Q2 of 2025. Its public equity portfolio includes 16 holdings, with the largest being $232 million in TSMC shares.
The endowment's crypto investments represent a small portion of its overall $57 billion assets. Officials have not announced any further changes to the strategy.
