Hasan Piker Defends Singham-Funded Activists at New Jersey ICE Protest
Influencer Hasan Piker spoke at a protest outside the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. He described individuals linked to Neville Roy Singham's network as "wonderful people" and said he had not received a federal subpoena related to a March trip to Cuba.
Fox NewsHasan Piker appeared at a protest outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday. " Piker said he has no personal contact with Singham but knows some of the people involved. "I mean, I know some of these people. They're wonderful people in general.
None of it is actually hidden or illegal in any way, shape or form," he told Fox News Digital.
Digital reported last Saturday that the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control sent Piker and CodePink an administrative subpoena as part of an inquiry into a March 2026 convoy to Cuba. Piker said he had not been served any documents and learned of the subpoena through media reports.
CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin stated that an email containing the subpoena initially landed in a spam folder. The Office of Foreign Assets Control requested financial, logistical, and communications records related to the trip. Piker participated in the March convoy alongside members of CodePink and a network of 145 organizations, according to Fox News Digital.
The convoy protested U.S. sanctions on Cuba.
Piker also canvassed in Trenton for Adam Hamamy, a candidate endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America in a congressional race. He wore a cap bearing the group's logo during the Newark protest. An activist at the protest shouted at Piker and referred to allegations involving his dog. Piker has denied those allegations.
