Hebrew University to Host Interview on AI's Economic Impact

Dr. Michael Gofman is a senior lecturer in finance and head of the PhD Program at the Hebrew University Business School. He also serves as co-founder of the Jerusalem Research Center for AI in Organizations.
The center, located on the Mount Scopus campus, received seed funding from Google. It studies how organizations including companies, universities, non-profits, and governments can adopt AI safely and efficiently. Gofman said the economy will undergo an enormous transformation due to AI.
He stated the change can be relatively smooth and controlled or quite disruptive. The center aims to help organizations manage risks and seize productivity opportunities. Gofman added that the effort requires cooperation between universities and the public sector to support interdisciplinary research.
The interview is presented in collaboration with the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University.
