Hezbollah Reports 22 Strikes on Israeli Forces in Southern Lebanon
Hezbollah stated it carried out 22 attacks on Israeli positions in southern Lebanon on June 6. Israel reported two soldiers killed in the same area the same day.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned what it called continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon and expressed condolences to families of Lebanese army personnel killed while on duty. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry called the Israeli attack on a Lebanese army patrol that killed two officers and a soldier a dangerous escalation and a violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
Former U.S. ambassador Henry Ensher said the Trump administration has given Israel a free hand in southern Lebanon for the time being. Ensher added that U.S. national interests in Lebanon center on preventing attacks on Beirut rather than stopping fighting outside the capital.
