Honor has confirmed a launch window for its Robot Phone before the end of Q3 2026. The company first displayed a working prototype at the Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress earlier this year. At those events, the phone demonstrated a gimbal-mounted camera that can tilt and rotate while processing voice commands through AI.

Honor presented the device at Cannes China Night in partnership with ARRI, a German camera manufacturer. The phone uses a 200MP sensor housed in what Honor described as the smallest 4DoF gimbal system in the industry. The gimbal assembly is built from super steel and titanium alloy, the same materials Honor uses in its folding-phone hinges.

During a demonstration at MWC, the camera tilted its head while analyzing an outfit and responded with a compliment generated by AI.

Honor initially indicated a second-half 2026 release.

It has since narrowed the schedule to a Q3 2026 launch. The phone is expected to be sold first in China.
