The horror film Obsession is now available to rent or buy on digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. The listing states that buyers receive extras not included with rentals. The film rents for $19.99 and sells for $24.99.
A 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD edition is set for July 14. No streaming release date has been announced. Obsession is a Focus Features release, a subsidiary of Universal Pictures, and is expected to appear on Peacock.
Barker wrote, directed, and edited the film in his feature debut. It has grossed more than $370 million against a reported budget of $750,000. The story centers on a man who uses a novelty wish to make his coworker fall in love with him, with consequences that affect their relationships and safety.
Barker said the premise was inspired by a classic Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. His next project, Anything But Ghosts, is set in the same universe and will star Aaron Paul and Bryce Dallas Howard.
