The House Oversight Committee released two transcripts on Thursday detailing interviews with former Attorney General Pam Bondi and Tova Noel, one of the prison guards on duty when Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in 2019. The panel is examining the Justice Department’s handling of files related to Epstein, a disgraced financier and convicted sex offender with ties to many powerful people.
Noel testified in a closed-door deposition last month. She previously told investigators that she believes she was the last person to see Epstein alive. Lawmakers have criticized the Justice Department for withholding Epstein-related files.
The transcripts were released as part of the committee’s ongoing review.
