The House defeated Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s Lebanon war powers resolution Thursday by a 92-324 vote. The measure would have directed President Trump to remove armed forces from Lebanon within seven days of adoption.

Tlaib responded that the remarks constituted an attack on her character. Miller’s comments were later stricken from the record. Tlaib held a “Block the Bombs” press conference at the Capitol on Thursday with Rep.

Jeffries and his top deputies stated they stand with the Lebanese people, the government of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces in their efforts to live peacefully and defeat Hezbollah.
