Hull City signed goalkeeper Jack Butland from Rangers on a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. The 33-year-old made 55 appearances across all competitions during Rangers' 2025-26 Scottish Premiership campaign. He won the Scottish League Cup in his first season at the club and received both Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year honors.
previously spent seven years at Stoke City, where he made 77 Premier League appearances, and also played in the top flight for Crystal Palace. He became England's youngest goalkeeper when he debuted in 2012 at age 19. Hull City secured promotion to the Premier League by defeating Middlesbrough 1-0 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley in May.
The club sold goalkeeper Ivor Pandur to Rangers and midfielder Aidon Shehu earlier this week to comply with profit and sustainability regulations. "I'm delighted it's all sorted now and I'm really excited to be here," Butland told the club website.
