ICE Arrests Non-Citizens with Prior Murder and Sex-Crime Convictions over Holiday Weekend

Federal immigration authorities arrested illegal immigrants with prior convictions for murder, burglary, and child sex crimes across the United States over the Independence Day weekend, Fox News reported. The Department of Homeland Security announced the arrests on Monday.
DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis stated that ICE arrested multiple murderers, pedophiles, rapists, kidnappers, drunk drivers, drug traffickers, and other public safety threats during the weekend.
She noted that under President Donald Trump, ICE hired 12,000 new officers and agents in less than a year, more than doubling the agency's workforce. Bis added that thanks to President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, ICE has an additional 12,000 officers.
Among those arrested were Radimir Thompson-Nagle, a Panamanian citizen with convictions for murder and assault in Brooklyn, New York; Marcos Rubio-Hernandez, a Mexican citizen previously convicted of second-degree murder and kidnapping in Wilson County, North Carolina; and Roberto Gutierrez-Diaz, a Mexican citizen with convictions for sodomy, sexual abuse, attempted rape, and burglary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Francisco Olmedo-Silva, a Mexican citizen, was arrested with convictions in Oregon, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania for drug trafficking, escaping custody, and robbery. Pedro Mazorra-Herrera, a Cuban citizen, was arrested with convictions for aggravated stalking, resisting an officer with violence, burglary with assault or battery, and cocaine possession in Miami, Florida.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin posted on X that sanctuary city politicians who put illegal alien criminals over their own citizens are a national security threat.
