IK Multimedia Adds In-Ear Monitor Calibration to Arc On Ear DAC in Version 1.5 Update

IK Multimedia released version 1.5 of its Arc On Ear DAC and headphone amplifier on July 5, 2026. The update adds calibration support for 50 popular in-ear monitor models; the device retains its four-hour battery life and $249.99 price. forbes.com reported that the Arc On Ear accepts USB-C input from a computer and performs digital-to-analog conversion along with high-end amplification.

It is powered by a 32-bit ESS SABRE DAC chipset, includes a high-damping-factor ultra-low-distortion power amplifier, and features a digitally controlled analog volume stage. The rechargeable battery supplies up to four hours of listening time. The device stores up to five profiles that combine headphone calibrations and custom tonal curves.

Its software supports preset management, tonal shaping, and firmware updates while simulating more than 20 virtual studio monitors and over 15 multimedia playback systems. ” He added that in-ear monitors can now deliver the consistency and accuracy needed to serve as a true alternative to studio headphones across production, travel, and live environments.
