Incoming Mossad director Roman Gofman stated that classified material cited by the Attorney General contains no secret, no integrity flaw, and no relevance to the petitions against his appointment. Gofman's lawyer, Ohad Shalem, argued that the Attorney General's office repeatedly claimed to hold classified documents while, according to Gofman, those materials contained nothing relevant to the petitions.
Gofman arrived to a Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee meeting at the Knesset in Jerusalem on February 5, 2026.
