The Independent will publish a series of weekly filmed interviews with artists, comedians and thinkers scheduled to appear at this year's Latitude festival. The interviews begin on 8 June and will continue in the weeks leading up to the event. They feature editor-in-chief Geordie Greig speaking with choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne, tech editor Andrew Griffin with geologist Professor Chris Jackson, and culture news editor Lauren Morris with comedian Rosie Jones.

Additional conversations include radio host Shaun Keaveny interviewing Steve Mason of the Beta Band.

20th anniversary edition runs from 23 to 26 July at Henham Park in Suffolk. Headliners include David Byrne, Teddy Swims and Lewis Capaldi. Additional performers are The Last Dinner Party, Tom Grennan, Wet Leg and Bill Ocean. The comedy program features Jack Dee, Sara Pascoe, Ross Noble and Lenny Henry.

During the festival, The Independent's podcast hosts will appear on the Listening Post stage. Adam Cleary from the football show ACFC and Helen MacNamara and Cleo Watson from the politics show In the Room are scheduled to participate.

Festival director Melvin Benn said the partnership supports the event's focus on conversation and diverse voices. The Independent's Director of Brand Marketing and Communications, Beth Gordon, said the arrangement highlights both the festival program and the outlet's cultural and scientific coverage. Tickets for Latitude are on sale now.
