India blocked access to the Telegram messaging app until June 22, citing its use by organized cheating groups ahead of a national medical entrance exam. The Ministry of Education said the restriction targets "the organised use of the platform by cheating rackets to defraud candidates" taking the NEET 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21.
