US influencer Nara Smith posted a two-and-a-half minute video on Wednesday stating that her two-year-old daughter Whimsy Lou was diagnosed with cancer late last year. Smith said she and her husband noticed something unusual and took the child to a hospital.
Tests confirmed the cancer had spread, and treatment began immediately. The video has been viewed more than 25 million times on Instagram and TikTok. Smith said the family has found the situation difficult while caring for three other children and managing work.
" New York influencer Haley Baylee posted that she is sending "love and strength" to the family. US artist Charlie Puth wrote on TikTok that "the whole world" is with Smith and her family. Smith said she hopes sharing the news will encourage others to seek medical checks for children when something seems wrong and to feel less alone.
