Insta360 Releases Mic Pro Wireless Microphone System

forbes.comInsta360 has announced the launch of the Mic Pro wireless microphone system. The product includes two transmitter units, a receiver, and a charging case.
Each transmitter contains a customizable E-Ink screen.
Users can upload logos, names, or other graphics through the Insta360 app, and the display remains visible even when powered off. The E-Ink technology reduces power consumption during static display and maintains readability under direct sunlight compared to OLED screens.
Each transmitter integrates three microphones.
Digital signal processing combines the inputs to create selectable pickup patterns including omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-of-8. The cardioid pattern focuses on sound from the front for vlogging and solo recording. The figure-of-8 pattern captures audio from both sides for interviews.
The system records at 32-bit float resolution to prevent clipping from sudden volume changes. Each transmitter stores recordings independently on 32GB of onboard memory with files auto-splitting every 30 minutes. AI noise cancellation powered by an onboard NPU chip reduces background sounds while preserving vocal clarity. Stereo internal recording is available for ambient and ASMR capture.
5mm, USB-C, or Lightning ports. The system supports up to four transmitters connected to one receiver for multi-guest recordings. Each transmitter operates for up to 10 hours on a single charge, extending to 30 hours with the charging case. The Mic Pro also pairs directly with Insta360 cameras including the X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra via Bluetooth.
