Investigation Links Christchurch Man to LeakedBB Forum Trading Non-Consensual Images

Bellingcat and The Press published an investigation on July 16, 2026, that identified Jitendra Maharaj as linked to LeakedBB, a forum that facilitated trading of non-consensual intimate images. LeakedBB was established in 2019. From March to May 2026 it averaged an estimated two million visits per month.

As of May 26, 2026, its board statistics showed 2.2 million registered users and more than 2.6 million posts. Google received more than 95,000 individual requests to delist over 350,000 pages from the site and removed more than 169,000 pages from search results. The forum rewarded users with credits for posting leaked content and for others unlocking it.

Credits could be redeemed for cryptocurrency at rates up to $0.15 per thread. Its most popular section featured material claimed to come from OnlyFans and Fansly shared without creators' consent. In July 2025 the site closed a marketplace it had run for more than five years after allegations of users selling underage material.

The investigation connected Maharaj to the site through company records and forum posts. Maharaj registered Logica Limited in Christchurch in February 2021 and remained its sole director. A May 2021 LeakedBB post by the administrator account Lucifer NightStar included a screenshot showing the company name Logica LTD.

nz website, listed as Logica Limited's site on OpenCorporates, displayed the same company name in its copyright notice. nz site for payments. The report also referenced the 2024 sentencing of former Boston track and field coach Steve Waithe to five years in prison for attempting to extort more than 100 women into sending intimate photos.

A November 2020 cached LeakedBB post matched wording from Waithe's communications, and a later thread showed the same user offering to trade images of athletes. The Press emailed Maharaj on June 4, 2026, outlining the findings. LeakedBB went offline by June 6.
