Vaez, Director of the Iran Project at the International Crisis Group, described an emerging 14-point framework agreement discussed in Islamabad. The plan begins with an end to hostilities that includes Lebanon and provides guarantees against renewed conflict.
Once initial steps are completed, the framework calls for negotiations to remove the mutual blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. After that process, a 30-day renewable period would begin for talks on a final nuclear agreement, Vaez said.
