Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered military strikes on targets in Beirut's southern suburbs, known as Dahiyeh. He stated in a video on X that Hezbollah headquarters in the area would not remain out of bounds and that forces would continue operations in southern Lebanon.
Saudi Arabia condemned Iran's reported attacks on a U.S. base in Kuwait, calling them violations of Kuwait's sovereignty and international law. The Gulf Cooperation Council secretary-general also condemned the attacks as a dangerous escalation and urged the UN Security Council to respond.
The Israeli army issued orders for residents of seven villages in southern Lebanon to move at least 1,000 meters from their homes ahead of planned strikes. An Israeli attack in central Gaza's Bureij refugee camp killed at least one person and injured another, according to local medical sources.
Kuwait reported drone and missile attacks earlier in the day.
