Iran Condemns Israeli Strike on Beirut Southern Suburbs and Blames U.S. for Ceasefire Breach

Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs as a "terrorist crime" and said the attack violated Lebanon's sovereignty while breaching the ceasefire agreement. The ministry described the strike as a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire and accused Israel of driving further escalation in the region.

The ministry stated that it holds the United States directly responsible for Israel's ceasefire violations in Lebanon.

It warned that Washington and Israel would bear responsibility for any dangerous consequences. Iran added that it remains determined to use "all necessary means" to exercise its inherent right to self-defence. The strike targeted Beirut's southern suburbs, according to multiple reports.
