Iran Speaker Urges Unity During U.S. Strikes as Regional Attacks Continue

Iran's parliament speaker stated that national unity is required during U.S. strikes on the country. “Insisting on sacred unity is not just a moral or social recommendation. It is rather a necessary condition for victory in the field of struggle against the enemy,” the speaker said in a social media post.

The speaker added that obedience to the supreme leader's command forms part of Iran's historical role in national resistance.

Kuwait's ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy said a power and water desalination plant was attacked for the second time in two days, causing a fire in some facilities. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze, the ministry stated.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said the United States bombed the under-construction Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant. The agency described the strike as a violation of international law.

The Qatari Emir met Iraq's prime minister in Doha to discuss the U.S.-Iran escalation. Both leaders stressed the need for dialogue and adherence to a memorandum of understanding on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The Arab League secretary-general warned that the conflict risks further violence and economic decline across the region.
