Iran closed the western and central sections of its airspace until further notice and cancelled most flights at Tehran's Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports, Iranian state media reported. Officials described the move as a safety precaution following missile exchanges with Israel.

Only about eight airports across the country remained operational, including those in Isfahan and Yazd. The cancellations were first reported by Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and were subsequently relayed by international outlets.
