Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said talks with the U.S. are continuing through Pakistan. Iranian and Omani technical teams met in Oman to negotiate a mechanism for safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s top security body announced the formation of a new agency to manage the Strait of Hormuz.

The Supreme National Security Council said the Persian Gulf Strait Authority will provide real-time updates on operations and developments.

Israeli forces killed more Palestinians in Gaza, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The ministry reported six killed and 40 wounded in the past 24 hours, with some victims remaining under rubble. The Israeli army said it struck more than 30 targets in southern Lebanon that it said were used by Hezbollah.

The Israeli navy seized vessels from the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla and arrested 100 activists.

Security sources in Bandar Abbas said the strait is closed to adversaries but open to neighboring and friendly countries. No military ships are allowed to transit without coordination with Iranian authorities. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Iran is in continuous contact with Oman and other parties.

He cited what he described as aggressions by different countries on Iran as legal justification for the measures.
