Iranian foreign minister criticizes U.S. military presence in region

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the U.S. military presence in the region has contributed to insecurity rather than security. "Has CENTCOM brought security or insecurity to our region? The answer is clear," Araghchi posted on X. He was responding to a U.S. Central Command post about a meeting between Adm.
Brad Cooper and military officials from twelve nations. Araghchi added that peace in the region can only be sustained when it is comprehensive and includes no outside interference.
