Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused the U.S. of committing another blatant war crime by attacking civilian infrastructure and killing civilians. Baghaei said Washington was attempting to project strength through these actions.
An Iranian official told Fars news agency that U.S. forces attacked an empty Iranian oil tanker near Kharg Island for the second time in two days. Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said three people were killed while crossing a bridge in Bandar Khamir and called the victims completely innocent.
Kuwait's state news agency reported that fires caused by Iranian attacks in southern Kuwait were brought under control. Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency said the Iranian Navy attacked a Thai-flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Qatar's Interior Ministry said a child was injured by falling shrapnel during interception of air attacks from Iran.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran and Gulf states unacceptable, according to his spokesman.
