Iranian Strikes Kill Two U.S. Service Members in Jordan; U.S. Responds With Strikes on Iranian Targets

Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks killed two U.S. service members at a base in Jordan on Friday. One additional service member remained missing in action. Four others received treatment at local hospitals before discharge, while personnel with minor injuries returned to duty.

Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted at least four waves of Iranian projectiles on Sunday. Strikes damaged facilities of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. Air-raid sirens sounded across the country that morning.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces stated that explosions heard resulted from interception of hostile targets and urged the public to follow safety instructions. The Bahrain Defense Force reported it intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks on Saturday.

U.S. Central Command said American forces struck Iranian targets for an eighth consecutive night on Saturday to punish IRGC units responsible for the Jordan attack. A Jordanian military source said aircraft shot down at least four Iranian suicide drones.

Military assets in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq on Saturday, including Sulaymaniyah Province in Iraq's Kurdistan region. No immediate official confirmation emerged for the reported Iraqi strikes.
