The IRGC Navy confronted a tanker that intended to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and forced it to comply with the transit ban after issuing warnings, Iran state media said. Explosions occurred off Sirik, and Iran state media stated that Iran is using live fire to enforce its closure decree in the Strait of Hormuz.
The tanker's identity, flag, and condition are unknown, and only Iran's account exists so far.
