IrisGo Develops Desktop AI Agent for Automated Workflows
IrisGo, a startup that raised $2.8 million in seed funding, is developing a desktop application that learns user workflows and automates tasks with limited prompting. The system runs on macOS and Windows and processes much of its data locally.
intuitiveaccountant.comIrisGo is developing a desktop application designed to learn and automate routine computer tasks for knowledge workers. 8 million seed round earlier this year. The application records user actions once and then repeats those steps without further instructions. A demonstration showed the system placing a coffee order by selecting a latte, entering payment details, and completing the purchase.
Iris includes a library of pre-built workflows for tasks such as drafting emails, processing invoices, summarizing documents, and building reports. The system also observes desktop activity and adds new tasks to its list of automated actions. A coding assistant component assists developers during their work.
The company targets white-collar environments where repetitive tasks remain common despite advances in large language models.
The application processes a substantial portion of data on the user's device to limit external data sharing. Larger tasks are handled through cloud processing only when the user explicitly authorizes it, according to the company, and use end-to-end encryption.
Fund led the seed round.
Nvidia and Google also participated as investors. The company recently released beta versions of its macOS and Windows applications and reached an agreement with Acer to preinstall the software on new laptops.
