Israel and Lebanon Reach Conditional Ceasefire Requiring Hezbollah Withdrawal South of Litani River

Israel and Lebanon agreed Wednesday to implement a renewed ceasefire that includes pilot security zones inside Lebanon where Hezbollah would be banned. -mediated talks at the State Department. A joint statement said the ceasefire is contingent on a complete cessation of Hezbollah fire and the evacuation of all Hezbollah operatives from areas south of the Litani River.
