Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon as U.S.-Iran Talks Continue
Israeli forces reported striking more than 150 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon over 24 hours. Lebanese officials said the attacks killed more than 30 people on Tuesday. Indirect U.S.-Iran negotiations continued on issues including enriched uranium and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday it struck more than 150 Hezbollah infrastructure sites and fighters in southern Lebanon over the previous 24 hours. The strikes targeted areas around Tyre, Nabatieh, and the Beqaa Valley. Lebanese health officials reported more than 30 deaths from the attacks, including children.
Earlier Wednesday, IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee posted evacuation orders for residents of Nabatieh, directing them to move north of the Zahrani River. The statement cited Hezbollah violations of a ceasefire agreement. Smoke was visible after strikes near the Rawdat al-Salihin Mosque and cemetery in Nabatieh.

Council Ali Bagheri Kani said indirect talks with the United States were ongoing but that Iran's enriched uranium stockpile was not on the agenda. President Trump stated that Iran could dispose of its highly enriched uranium inside the country or at another acceptable location.
A senior Trump administration official said Iran had agreed in principle to dispose of the material during negotiations. Mohammad Akbarzadeh, deputy political chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval force, said the possibility of renewed war with the United States was low.
He added that Iranian forces remained prepared to respond to any attack.
President Trump is scheduled to convene his Cabinet on Wednesday to discuss the Iran conflict and other matters. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said talks on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and extending the ceasefire would continue for several more days.
India's Directorate General of Shipping announced that ten Indian sailors detained in Iran since July 2025 had been released following diplomatic efforts. The sailors had been held after their vessel was intercepted near Jask Port. -Israeli conflict with Iran.
