According to @Jerusalem_Post, the ceremony awarded 47 prizes, with KAN, Israel's government broadcaster, securing 27 awards, Yes obtaining 12, and Keshet receiving six. The awards occurred without special categories for broadcasting during crises or wartime, a change from the previous two years.
The event included tributes to industry members who died during the year. Alon Aboutboul, an actor who passed away last year, received two posthumous awards for his roles in the drama The German and the comedy sketch show Universes.
' Roy Kafri, co-star and creator of Universes, accepted the second award and commented on Aboutboul's talent. Separately, the comedy group The Cameri Quintet, including members Keren Mor, Dov Navon, Shai Avivi, and Menashe Noy, received a lifetime achievement award and spoke about the loss of their colleague Rami Heuberger, who died this year.
The series Tehran from KAN won awards for artistic direction, given to Yoel Herzberg, and original music, awarded to Mark Eliyahu. Producer Shula Spiegel, in her acceptance speech, referenced her late partner Dana Eden, who died in February while preparing the fourth season, and stated, 'I take advantage of every stage to commemorate my beloved partner...
' The documentary series Corinne Allal: Farewell Tour won six awards, including documentary series of the year, accepted by the late singer's children Omer and Ben, her partner Ruti Allal, and the production team. The KAN series Happy Place received 10 awards, including drama series, lead actor for Aviahu Pinhasov, lead actress for Noa Koler, supporting actress for Tiki Dayan, directing for Ram Nehari, and writing for Koler.
Bloody Murray from Yes won five awards, such as best comedy-drama or sitcom, supporting actress for Rotem Sela, lead actress for Naomi Levov, directing for Stav Idisis, and writing for Idisis. Keshet's Eretz Nehederet secured four awards, including satire and sketch program and writing in that category.
In her speech, Aharish addressed challenges facing the media, stating, 'Unfortunately, the last few years have been marked by the weakening of the media, the undermining of trust in it... ' The ceremony was broadcast on KAN 11 and is available for viewing on its website.
KAN has faced criticism from politicians, including Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, regarding proposals to close it down. The event highlighted ongoing industry dynamics amid recent national events. Attendees and winners emphasized remembrance and continuation of creative work despite losses.
