Gaza’s Health Ministry said six Palestinians were killed and 40 wounded by Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours. Some victims remain under rubble or on roads, with civil defence and ambulance crews still unable to reach them. Since the start of the ceasefire in October, 877 people have been killed and 2,602 wounded, the ministry added.

Iran’s top security body announced the formation of a new agency to manage the Strait of Hormuz. The Supreme National Security Council posted that the Persian Gulf Strait Authority will provide real-time updates on operations and latest developments.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said talks between Iran and the U.S. are continuing through Pakistan. Iranian and Omani technical teams met in Oman to negotiate a mechanism for ensuring safe transit in the Strait of Hormuz.

Communications on multiple vessels in the Global Sumud Flotilla were jammed at the start of the Israeli military operation, a member of the flotilla’s legal team said. The flotilla was in international waters but remained within the Cypriot search and rescue zone.

The Israeli navy seized vessels that were part of the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla and arrested 100 activists on board. The Israeli army said it struck more than 30 targets in southern Lebanon, which it said were used by Hezbollah to attack Israeli forces.
