Israel's High Court of Justice temporarily froze provisions of the communications minister's broadcasting reform that were set to take effect upon the law's publication. The court declined to suspend the overhaul in its entirety. Justice Grosskopf said the petitions raised "weighty claims" regarding both the way the law was enacted and certain arrangements it established or abolished.
Petitions against the reform have grown since the law passed. The court issued its order in response to those filings. The communications minister presented the reform to the Special Committee for the Communications Law at the Knesset on June 29, 2026.
