Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on June 29 that the military is ready to restart war with Iran and that it could happen as soon as the following day, ZeroHedge reported. Katz outlined two scenarios that would resume full-scale fighting. One involves Iranian missile fire after Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburb of Dahiyeh in response to Hezbollah rockets into northern Israel.
The other is a decision by President Trump to restart the bombing campaign. This could happen in two days," Katz said, according to the report.
He added that there is no reality in which Israel will not respond to an Iranian attack. " He said the IDF has selected targets to strike in Iran and is prepared and alert but will not interfere with the U.S. president's current moves vis-a-vis the Iranians.
Katz also described destruction in southern Lebanon. He said there is nearly 100 percent destruction in the contact-line villages of the western and central sectors and 73 percent of villages destroyed in the eastern sector.
