A joint delegation from the Foreign Ministry, the IDF, and the Home Front Command will depart for Venezuela on Tuesday to assist with earthquake response efforts. Ambassador Yoed Magen, who grew up in Venezuela, will lead the Foreign Ministry’s activities. Home Front Command Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Elad Edri will command the IDF delegation.
The delegation combines diplomatic and operational expertise. Foreign Ministry personnel will coordinate with Venezuelan authorities on aid distribution. IDF and Home Front Command members will provide search-and-rescue support and structural assessment. French civil security personnel conducted building inspections in Catia La Mar, La Guaira state, on June 29, 2026.
