Israeli Forces Advance Into Eastern Edge of Southern Lebanese Town

Israeli forces advanced into the eastern edge of the southern Lebanese town of Beit Yahoun with three battle tanks and several bulldozers, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported. The advance occurred as U.S. and Lebanese delegations met to discuss implementation of a framework agreement that outlines two pilot zones for an initial Israeli withdrawal.

Under the agreement, the Lebanese military would gradually assume full security responsibility in those zones.

Iran’s acting defence minister said the country tripled its drone production capacity during the recent war. The minister stated that defence production continued and increased despite the conflict. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited Oman for talks aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the ongoing crisis.

Former British ambassador Nicholas Hopton said Oman is positioned to mediate due to its relations with both Iran and Western countries.

Israeli police detained four settlers after they allegedly attacked a CNN media crew’s vehicle in the occupied West Bank town of Sinjil. Officers seized the settlers’ vehicle, which contained clubs and a knife, according to The Times of Israel. Additional settler attacks were reported in the occupied West Bank, including the destruction of a farm and injuries to four people.
